235x53 WH Gyuto

This is a 235mm workhorse gyuto with a 1.2519 core.  The 1.2519 core steel is German Tungsten tool steel which is quite similar to blue2 (aogami2).  The cladding is double refined wrought iron which has been etched in ferric chloride to show off the brilliant detail of the iron.  There is a piece of pure nickel separating the cladding and the core steel which etches vibrantly shiny. The handle is spalted maple burl from Oregon, USA and the ferrule is bog oak from the East Anglia Basin in England.
