235x53 S-Grind

550.00

This knife was made from 52100 ball bearing steel. This steel takes a very fine grained edge and has nice retention. This steel has been heat treated to 63/64HRC. One notable quality of 52100 is its relative toughness when compared to other carbon steels at comparable a hardness. This knife has a complex S grind, which is a hollow along the middle of the blade which aids with food release. The handle of this knife is composed of red dyed Missouri cherry burl. The ferrule is ancient bog oak. If you would like, I could apply a forced patina upon request before shipping.

Measurements:
Out of the handle: 2.66mm
Middle: 2.37mm
4cm from tip: 1.80mm
2cm from tip: 1.41mm
Weight: 181g

If you buy a knife and ask for a refund before shipping there will be a 10% restocking fee.
