My name is Joe Schrum, I have always been one for creating things.  While in college I worked as an apprentice for a carpenter and that fueled my want to create things.  After college I started working full time and I was never making or creating anything, there was nothing that I was making my mark with. One day I stumbled upon a webpage about making knives.  I can attribute all of this to that first moment that I poked my head into the rabbit hole and crawled in.  My first few knives were ugly but I learned from them.  I did not give up though, I knew that making knives was something I needed to do to earn self satisfaction.  I forge my knives from old high carbon steel and test it thoroughly before it heads out of the shop.  I mainly use reclaimed steels such as old buzz saw blades, leaf springs, coil springs, sway bars, or anything I can research and find its origins.  The wood I use is predominantly trash wood that would otherwise be mulched or left to rot.  Kitchen and hunting knives are where I focus my efforts with most of my emphasis being in the kitchen genre.  I greatly appreciate each and every person who has helped me along the way and I thank you for taking the time to check out my knives.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
