This is a pattern welded gyuto, the steels used are 1095/15n20. The pattern used for this knife is a forged feather pattern. The end result is an organic and beautiful feather pattern that shows the nice veining from ripping the feather. This knife has a convex grind with an S hollow above the convexed edge. The grind on this knife would be my typical of my midweight grind.

The main piece of the handle is piece of genuine lignum vitae that was gifted to me from a family friend. This is the hardest wood in the world and very rare.  The ferrule of the handle is African Blackwood.
