240x56 Mono

$725.00

This knife was made from 52100 ball bearing steel. This steel takes a very fine grained edge and has nice retention. This steel has been heat treated to 63/64HRC. One notable quality of 52100 is its relative toughness when compared to other carbon steels at comparable a hardness. This knife has a complex S grind, which is a hollow along the middle of the blade which aids with food release. The handle of this knife is composed of ancient redgum from Australia as well as a walrus ivory ferrule. The walrus ivory is fossilized and a few thousand years old. The ivory is all the ‘core’ or internal of the tusk, it is extremely hard and durable.

Note: Certain States and countries have regulations around the sales of pre-ban fossil ivory, please check your state/countries laws before purchasing. If you have questions, feel free to email me and we can work it out together. If you live outside of United States, please contact me to discuss possible shipping options.
