250x52 Wrought Iron

$700.00

This knife was forged from wrought iron san mai that was made in my shop. The core steel is 1.2519 german tungsten tool steel which is similar to blue#2. The wrought iron was reclaimed from an antique wagon wheel. You can see how the wrought iron etches so differently from one side to the other due to the extreme differences within its own composition. This knife has a slight convex grind. The handle of this knife is spalted pecan from my property. The wood was harvested 5 or 6 winters ago and it was slowly dried and then sent for professional stabilizing. The ferrule of this one is African Blackwood.
