This knife was forged from Japanese pre-laminated steel. The core is Aogami Super and the cladding is iron. The core steel is famed for the keen edge it takes as well as a long edge life. The handle on this knife is made from Ringed Gidgee. The knife has been given a light etch to show the detail in the iron on the san mai.
