130x40 Honesuki Blue

$450.00

This is a honesuki that was made from CPM-154. Cpm-154 is a high grade American made stainless steel. This steel has been heat treated to 62HRC. The handle on this knife is Tiffany blue G10 from Pops knife supply. I used stainless steel corby bolts to fasten the scales to the tang. This knife was based on a traditional honesuki with some modern twists.

This knife was forged from a single bar of 1.2519 German Tungesten steel. The steel is similar to blue2 composition. This steel is known for taking a very keen edge as well as being easily stropped back to that keen edge. It is also known for it’s toughness. The steel has been heat treated to around 64hrc. The handle of this knife is a composed of a piece of golden Arizona Ironwood and the ferrule is African Blackwood. The handle shape on this one is octagonal. This knife has a midweight convex grind and was ground convex on my rotary platen.
